Ringing in a New Year at Nehalem Bay

Life has continued to be a whirlwind of activity but mom & dad took me on a wonderful long weekend to ring in the new year at Nehalem Bay, one of our favorite spots for a getaway.

Max was there, of course, along with his mom & dad and another set of friends as well so we had quite a party scene going on with three sites, six people, and two fur babies.

There were even deer to bark at! I know, I know, I really shouldn’t bother the wildlife and mom & dad try to shush me but seriously…deer!

It’s been a long time since we had four nights away and we took advantage of it with lots of leisure time. We slept in, took long walks on the beach and over to the bay, and caught every sunset. Basically, it was my version of doggie paradise.

It COULD have been a tad warmer to be sure but the people set up two big covers to sit under and in one we had a firepit going to keep us all cozy. In addition, mom FINALLY found the perfect camper pajamas for me that actually fit my big chest and long body so I was super comfy.

My very favorite thing is the beach. Or hanging with my pack. Or the beach. I can’t always decide but I DO know it was a fantastic getaway.

We woke up the final morning to the most extraordinary sunrise coming up all pink and purple over the beach which surely seems to mean it is going to be a great year.

On the last night, it was just me and mom & dad and we spent much of the cold, rainy day watching movies and snuggling before we had to head back home. Happy New Year 2023! Let the adventures continue.
